Marketplace Disclosure

Last updated October 24, 2026

A plain statement of what e-airbags.com is, so that nobody who buys or sells here mistakes the marketplace for the seller.

1. The disclosure

e-airbags.com is a marketplace. We do not sell airbags or any other part listed on this site. Every sale is a transaction between the registered seller named on the listing and the buyer; e-airbags.com processes the payment, holds it until delivery is confirmed, and provides buyer protection. The seller issues the invoice for every sale, which identifies the donor vehicle's VIN.

2. Who you are buying from

Every listing names its seller — a salvage or auto-recycling yard, licensed dismantler, collision or repair shop, dealership or parts reseller — with a link to the seller's store page showing its business type, feedback record, ship-from state, handling time and return policy. When you buy, the contract of sale is between you and that seller. The seller owns the part, describes it, photographs it, ships it, and issues the sales invoice that identifies the donor vehicle's VIN.

3. What e-airbags.com does

  • Verifies that every seller is a commercial automotive business before it can list, and keeps its verification documents on file.
  • Requires a 17-character donor VIN and a proof-of-origin document on every part listing, and requires the seller's four attestations (used OEM from the donor vehicle, undeployed, no open recall, not aftermarket).
  • Processes the buyer's payment through Stripe or PayPal as the seller's limited payment collection agent, and holds it until 48 hours after delivery is confirmed, and longer while a case is open.
  • Sets and enforces the shipping rules: ground only, continental United States, carrier restrictions for hazardous materials, tracking on every order, ship-by dates.
  • Provides buyer protection: cases for parts not received, not as described, wrong or damaged, decided by staff on the evidence, with refunds to the original payment method.
  • Collects and remits sales tax as a marketplace facilitator where required, and monitors messages between buyers and sellers.

4. What e-airbags.com does not do

  • It does not sell airbags or any other part. It never owns or holds inventory.
  • It does not inspect, test, certify, warrant or guarantee any part, and makes no statement about whether a part will function or fit a particular vehicle.
  • It does not write listings. Titles, descriptions, photos, fitment data and attestations are the seller's.
  • It does not install parts or give installation advice. Airbags, pretensioners and SRS components should be installed by a qualified technician following the manufacturer's procedures.
  • It is not a party to the sale and is not the merchant of record for the part; it is the processor and temporary holder of the payment.

5. Where the disclosure appears

The disclosure is shown in the footer of every page, on every listing page ("Sold by [store], a verified commercial seller — e-airbags.com is a marketplace and is not the seller"), on the checkout page before payment, in order confirmation emails, and in the Terms of Use. Sellers may not state or imply that e-airbags.com inspected, tested or certified a part.
