Shipping rules
The seller ships every order; e-airbags.com sets the rules and watches the tracking. These rules apply to every listing, and sellers agree to them in the Seller Agreement.
Ground only
Every part ships by ground: UPS Ground, UPS Ground Saver, FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, USPS Ground Advantage. Air services are not allowed for any safety device sold here, and sellers may not hand-deliver or arrange local pickup — an order without a carrier tracking number is not considered shipped.
Continental US only
Ground shipping to the continental United States only — no Alaska, Hawaii, territories, APO/FPO or PO boxes. Checkout only accepts street addresses in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Freight forwarders are allowed at your own risk: buyer protection ends when the carrier delivers to the forwarder's address.
Hazmat: airbags, inflators and pretensioners
Airbag modules, inflators and pyrotechnic pretensioners are Class 9 hazardous materials (UN3268). Ship UPS Ground or FedEx Ground only, from a staffed carrier location, with the carrier's hazmat paperwork. USPS will not accept them.
This is a carrier and federal rule, not a marketplace preference. Undeployed airbag modules, inflators and pyrotechnic seat-belt pretensioners are regulated as UN3268, Safety devices, electrically initiated, Class 9. They may travel by ground only, must be packed so the module cannot be activated, and the carrier's hazmat paperwork must be completed by the shipper. Compliance is the seller's responsibility; the marketplace rejects tracking numbers from carriers that do not accept these items.

Mail-in services: the buyer ships the unit to the provider by any ground service; the return leg follows the category rule above. Seat-belt assemblies with a pretensioner are hazmat even when listed under Buckles — the seller must choose the right category.
Tracking on every order
The seller enters the carrier and tracking number on the order. The number is checked against the carrier's format and check digit, and against the carriers allowed for the category, before it is accepted. You see tracking in My e-airbags › Purchases and by email, and the marketplace follows the carrier's scans to confirm delivery.
Handling time and the ship-by date
Each listing shows the seller's handling time (1–5 business days). The ship-by date is the handling time counted in business days from payment, plus 2 grace days. Sellers are reminded the day before.
Late shipments and automatic cancellation
If a tracking number has not been entered by the ship-by date, the order is flagged. You may cancel it from your order page for a full refund, and the marketplace may cancel and refund it automatically. A seller who repeatedly misses ship-by dates is suspended.
Delivery confirmation
Delivery is confirmed by the carrier's delivery scan, by you from the order page, or automatically 21 days after shipping if no scan ever arrives. The 48-hour buyer-protection window and the seller's payout run from that confirmation. See Buyer protection.
Packaging
Sellers must pack modules so the connector and inflator are protected, in a rigid box with the hazmat marking the carrier requires. Keep the packaging if a part arrives damaged — the carrier claim and your case both depend on photos of it.
