Selling on e-airbags.com
From application to first payout. Commercial automotive businesses only — if that is you, this is the whole process.
1. Apply
Sign in with your business email and open Apply to sell. You will enter the business name and store name, business type, address and phone, your ship-from ZIP, license details where they apply, handling time and return policy, and upload at least one verification document:
- Business license / registration
- Dealer, dismantler or salvage license
- Resale / sales-tax certificate
- Garage keepers / shop insurance certificate
- Utility bill or lease at the business address
- Government photo ID of the owner / manager
You also accept the Seller Agreement. Applications are saved as you go with an explicit Save, so you can finish later.
2. Get verified
Staff review every application by hand, usually within two business days, and may ask for another document. You are emailed when the account is approved or if it isn't, with the reason. Approved sellers get a public store page at /s/your-store and the Seller Hub.
3. Connect Stripe
Payouts go through Stripe Connect Express. From the Seller Hub, open Payouts and complete Stripe's onboarding (business details, bank account, identity of the owner or representative). Until Stripe reports that payouts are enabled, your earnings wait as scheduled payouts — nothing is lost, it just doesn't move yet.
4. List a part
- Pick the category and position. Hazmat categories (airbag modules, pretensioners, steering wheels with airbags) restrict carriers automatically.
- Enter the donor VIN. The VIN decoder fills year, make, model and body style; add the trim and mileage.
- Upload the proof-of-origin document for that donor vehicle (auction invoice, title or bill of sale).
- Enter the part number as printed on the label, any interchange numbers, the manufacturer (Autoliv, ZF-TRW, Toyoda Gosei…), color and condition notes.
- Add 4 to 12 photos of the actual part: label, connectors, cover front and back, any marks.
- Set the price, shipping charge (or free), handling time, returns and Best Offer settings.
- Tick the four attestations — used OEM from the donor vehicle, undeployed, no open recall, not aftermarket — and publish.
Drafts can be saved at any step. The AI listing assistant can suggest a title and description from the photos and VIN; you review and edit before publishing. Full rules: Listing rules.
5. Answer questions and offers
Buyers ask questions from the listing and send Best Offers; both reach you in the Seller Hub and by email. Offers expire after 48 hours if you do not answer. Keep conversations on e-airbags.com — the marketplace monitors messages, and asking a buyer to pay outside the site ends the account.
6. Ship
A new order shows the buyer's shipping address, the ship-by date (your handling time plus 2 grace days) and the carriers allowed for the part. Ship by ground, enter the carrier and tracking number on the order, and the buyer is notified. Hazmat parts need the carrier's UN3268 paperwork and a staffed drop-off — see Shipping rules.
7. Upload the sales invoice
From the order, upload your sales invoice to the buyer. It must show the donor VIN. The invoice is attached to the buyer's order and is required before the payout is released.
8. Get paid
When delivery is confirmed, a payout of the item price plus shipping less the 15% fee is scheduled for 48 hours later and transferred to your Stripe account if no case is open and the invoice is on file. The Seller Hub lists each payout and anything it is waiting on. Details: Fees & payouts.
Cases and feedback
If a buyer opens a case, respond in the case thread — a return label or partial refund resolves most cases; staff decide the rest on the evidence. Buyers leave feedback after delivery; you can reply publicly to any feedback from the Seller Hub.
Managing listings
End a listing when the part is no longer available, relist it later (the publish checks run again), and edit price, shipping and photos at any time. A listing is marked sold automatically when an order for it is paid.
